Superman; "A Citizen of the Universe." Okay...Not Really

Posted by Matt Russell on May 2, 2011 at 5:22 PM Comments comments (3)

Well, if you have not heard, Superman is renouncing his U.S. citizenship. This really should not be too much of a shock to you seeing as how America is the “new world enemy.” The reason why it shouldn’t be so surprising is that Superman is not the first super hero to disassociate himself with the United States; Captain America changed his name to Nomad a few years back. If Superman is supposedly “fed up” with being connected to the USA and the motto ‘Truth, Justice, and the American Way,’- -its just not enough anymore,” then why has and is he characterizing those values the best? NPR says that he “proclaims himself a citizen of the universe.” Since when did the United States become evil? It will be interesting to see how superman acts now being a "citizen of the universe."

If you are a teen reading these “innocent” comic books, beware of the messages that are being displayed. Also, if you are a parent, be sure you know what your child is reading or watching, this goes for school material also. Nothing is what it seems anymore, you must look deeper and keep an eye out for these type of stunts.

Well, don't worry! DC comics has come back out saying that superman may have had a change of heart in renouncing his US citizenship. This attempt at changing Superman's citizenship has caused an uproar across the nation. Artist Dave Dorman who is an artist for the DC comic book had this to say:

“I find it very hard to believe that DC Comics has chosen to take Superman–the first and greatest of America’s super heroes and a cultural icon for many generations–and molded him into a piece of political propaganda for this current climate of socialism and world unity. For generations, Superman has stood as a role model for both children and adults, giving them pride in America with his values of ‘Truth, Justice and the American Way.’ Unfortunately, DC Comics has chosen to corrupt that role model, bending it to America‘s current path of failure with ’Mistruth, Social Justice and a One World Order.‘ In this day when Barack Obama calls the United States ’unexceptional,‘ it saddens me that DC Comics and their Superman creative team couldn’t have restored this true American role model and given kids in America the faith that our great country truly is still exceptional. With one comic, they’ve castrated Superman and hastily thrown away more than 80 years of his patriotic legacy.”

Well America has won this time. But remember to keep up the good fight! We will be seeing more of this in the future!

Ok...WHY are they protesting again?

The past few weeks we've heard of the union protests in Wisconsin. Let's be honest, how many of us have thought, "I don't really get why, or what for, they are protesting exactly?"

Well, fear no more because your questions about the Wisconsin protests are about to be answered! T4AT's great friend site Future Voices of America created this video to explain the Wisconsin Protests.

Honoring the Arizona Victims

Although many people may have problems with President Obama and his administration, last night, (1-12-11) he gave an elegant and inspiring speech at the memorial service for the victims of the shooting that occurred last Saturday. The memorial service was hosted at the University of Arizona, McKale Memorial Center. This memorial honored the victims, their families, and the brave first responders. Putting politics behind us, this was a great overall speech given by President Obama. The main point that I received from his message is that, “The forces that unite us, are greater than the forces that divide us.” Hopefully, President Obama will practice what he has advocated and the media will listen to what he has said. I would encourage everyone to keep the victims and their families in your prayers, and so will I. May God bless and comfort them all.

Only from The Left

Posted by . on January 9, 2011 at 12:11 AM Comments comments (1)
When outrageous events occur that shocks the nation, the Left is always often quick to take that tragedy and blame the Right. This is the case for the horrific events surrounding Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Early reporting and quotes from some Democrats (example: Senator Frank Lautenberg D-NJ) pointed a finger at the Tea Party. After all, wasn't Lincoln assassinated by a Tea Party activist, hell bent on cutting high-speed rail subsidies? The fact is that most assassinations are probably carried out by nutjobs without a discernible political philosophy.

It's been reported that the attempted assassin is Jared Lee Loughner. Early indicators from his friends, as well as the general themes of his YouTube postings, indicate that he is a wacky liberal. He professes his atheism, disdain for inadequate American education support and discusses his view of the world.  His view is crazy. The guy sounds like a Marxist. There is nothing to indicate that his big beef was with Cash-for-Clunkers. Nope, he appears to be mentally ill and mentally liberal.

I am not blaming liberals. Crazy people come in all shapes and sizes. What I am suggesting is that it is no longer possible for the media to blame the Right for something done by a crazy liberal. President Kennedy was murdered by a crazy leftist who spent time in Cuba and the Soviet Union. I’m fairly certain he would not have vote for Nixon in 1960.

This is not the time for politics or finger pointing. May Congresswoman Giffords make a full and speedy recovery and return to Washington to represent her district.

When Does a Suggestion Become a Threat? : NOTE Edit!

Posted by Karen DeSimone on October 4, 2010 at 6:13 PM Comments comments (1)

For years there have been movements to encourage people to "Go Green" and  "save the planet." These mostly have been harmless little movements, but now there is a movement by Global Warming activists called 10:10 global that does a little more than "suggesting" involvement.

WARNING: Do NOT watch this video if you wish to avoid portrayals of extreme violence, genocide, child murders, demonic practice and terrorism. Teens, this is one you HAVE to have your parent's watch first!

So that's it? That's how we achieve what we want, by killing people that disagree with us?! Excuse me, but that is what Hitler and Stalin did, or have we forgotten the millions of lives that were butchered? The words "taking it to far" don't even come close to this kind of brutality.

I have written before about peer pressure. How it happens in our teen lives and follows us as adults. This is a form of peer pressure, and even though they are not saying, "we will kill you if you don't follow us" the fear of what may happen is there.

In the next few days I am going to be discussing Communism; what it is, and why it does not work. This ad ties into some of what I am going to say, but I wanted everyone to see this just to know how serious some are getting with their ideas. Please stay tune, and please let me know what YOU think of this ad.

I am Back!

Posted by . on August 14, 2010 at 11:05 PM Comments comments (1)

Hello everyone. I have been gone for a while as you can see. The LED Light on my laptop went out but forget all of that. I am back and I have lots of things that I want to write about. So Fox News recently talked about me and other teens across the country who attended the Young Americas Foundation Conference right outside of Washington D.C. and how we were stopped for singing the national anthem at the steps of Lincoln. I wrote about my experience on the trip but never mentioned this. We had just came back from the WW2 Memorial which was beyond epic. We had been walking around, talking and taking pictures of the amazing view of the Capitol building and the reflecting pool when we all decided to do something patriotic and sing our country's anthem. I was super excited and so was all the other attendees. We were about half way through the song when we heard a man saying "HELLO, STOP!'. We all looked and were very confused. He happened to be a park officer. He told us that we were violating park rules. We all looked at each other in amazement. My friend John who was right next to me said "We are a country at war, why would he do this". He couldn't have said it any better. We all became very unhappy and so did other people who ere also singing with us and who also was shocked at what that park officer had just done. So we rallied back up and said we will sing this song and we did. We song it every so proudly and when we were done we got an standing ovation. It was very patriotic and got water in my eyes. To this say i get a bad feeling about the park officer when I talk about what happened so I will stop. Here is the video of the cast of Fox & Friends talking about the situation.

Fox Gets a Front Row Seat

Posted by Karen DeSimone on August 2, 2010 at 10:29 AM Comments comments (2)

Yesterday, the White House Correspondents’ Association chose Fox News to take the front row seat in the White House briefing room -- which was recently vacated by journalist Helen Thomas. There were several other contenders for the seat, but the WHCA said that , "the board ultimately was persuaded by Fox’s length of service and commitment to the White House television pool."

One left wing group won't be to happy about this...Moveon.org. They sent out this e-mail to their members on July 31, "As early as tomorrow, the White House Correspondents' Association will decide which news organization will be awarded a recently-vacated front-row center seat in the White House briefing room.

The contenders? National Public Radio, Bloomberg News—and Fox.

Yes, Fox—which we all know is actually a tool in the right-wing propaganda machine, not a legitimate news organization. They simply don't deserve the best seat in the White House briefing room—a seat held for years by journalist Helen Thomas until she retired recently.

So we're joining our friends at CREDO Action to petition the Correspondents' Association to award the seat to a real, public news organization: NPR... The petition says, 'Give Helen Thomas' former briefing room seat to NPR, which has provided public interest coverage for decades—not Fox, which is a right-wing propaganda tool, not a legitimate news organization.'...Winning this seat would give Fox legitimacy it simply doesn't deserve—not after years of race-baiting, smears against progressives and Democrats, and spreading right-wing propaganda 24/7."

Poor Moveon.org! To bad that Fox is known to have the most bi-partisan election and news coverage. Sure, they have strong conservative commentators, but many of their contributors and hosts are not conservative. Fox definitely deserves this seat, and hopefully they will put this position to good use!

Need a little help getting food? Just give up...

..your guns!

In Austin Texas, about a week ago, there was a program call "Guns for Groceries." Basically, the APD said that if you came and turned in your unwanted guns, you would get grocery vouchers.

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

Yes, these people are giving up their guns voluntarily, but this just isn't sitting well with me. I remember the interview I did with a woman named Kitty Werthmann. She lived in Austria during World War II, and during our interview we talked about guns. She told me how Hitler had everyone register their guns supposedly so that the Nazis would know if criminals got the guns. Then Hitler had people give up their guns. The reason Miss Werthmann was told for giving up guns was that it was to protect people from criminals breaking into their houses and taking the guns, or to protect from accidental child injuries.

However, after the guns were gone, the Austian people had no means of defense! Miss Werthmann advised me to get a gun. She said everyone should have one, and I can understand that.

The last part of the 2nd amendment states, "the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." Now, I know that these people's right to bear arms is not being taken away. They are giving up their guns voluntarily. However, I believe that -- if times got bad, our government was a socialist one, and food was hard to come by -- the government could say, "Hey, you need some food? Well, just give us your guns."

May be it's just me. May be I've read to many history books. But, these guns being given up will be put to good use here in America, right?

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

Guess not! They are going to be destroyed.

The fact that these guns are being destroyed is really the clincher for me. Why not sell them to people that will use them like hunters, policemen, and armed forces? Why destroy them? Why? To help prevent crimes? That may be true, but the gun is not the criminal it's the shooter behind it. You see, this is just going for part of the crime problem. However, man has a sinful nature, and taking a gun away is not going to stop someone who is so full of hate from killing another. Only God can take care of that...just a thought.

Helen Thomas announces Retirement

This just came out from Politico:

Helen Thomas retires

A statement from Hearst Newspapers:

HELEN THOMAS ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

WASHINGTON, June 7, 2010 – Helen Thomas announced Monday that she is retiring, effective immediately.

Her decision came after her controversial comments about Israel and the Palestinians were captured on videotape and widely disseminated on the Internet.

Thomas later issued a statement: ``I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.’’

Her comments don't reflect her heartfelt beliefs for "peace"! You've got to be kidding me! She used an expletive to describe her feelings toward Israel, but all she really wants is "mutual respect and tolerance"?

I have a respect for the Arab people, but I don't tolerate it when the Israels in Gaza were told this when they were going to board the flotilla.

Miss Thomas made her point clear, and I think she is making a wise decision in retiring.

Generation WE is endorsed by WHO???

Posted by Karen DeSimone on February 18, 2010 at 9:51 AM Comments comments (3)

I talked to you yesterday about the new movement called Generation WE. Today I got on their site and checked out the people that endorsed them. I was SHOCKED and concerned when I saw this endorsement at the end of the page.

 http://www.gen-we.com/endorsements

"Each generation sees the world through new eyes, and remakes the world in its own image. Each generation does something amazing that no one thought possible. In the 20th century, young people tore down Jim Crow segregation and ended apartheid in America. In the 21st century, young people are building something brand new, something beautiful that nobody has seen before. In "Generation We," Greenberg and Weber give us a special insight into exactly what this new "Millenial Generation" is up to, and how it just might save us all."

- Van Jones, President and Founder, Green For All

Van Jones!!!! He is a self avowed Communist and the former "Green Jobs Czar" for President Obama. Last year, though, Glenn Beck showed the Communist beliefs of Van Jones, and Van Jones was then let go. Watch out! I really don't trust a movement that has a Communist supporting it!

Quote of the Week

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”
