A Time for Everything...a Time to say Good Bye

Posted by Karen DeSimone on May 23, 2011 at 6:43 PM

We all have seasons in our life of things we do. Over a year ago when I started T4AT, I never knew where it would go or what it would become. However, I know that the time has come to say good bye to ownership of T4AT.

Let me start by telling you why I am doing this. Number one, I am now 18, and now a legal adult and able to vote; when I started T4AT I wanted it to stay true to young teenagers that loved our country and wanted to help other teens learn about our nation. I feel that I am no longer in that realm, and someone younger needs to carry the torch.

The possibility of college coming up this fall and a trip I will be taking to Israel in August are other things that I know will take time, but there is something else. Many of you will remember that election night last year, I had this very cool phone call with Glenn Beck!

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

I never said what came of the call, and I know some have wondered --especially about what Glenn said at the end-- what happened. Two weeks after the call I had a phone interview with Beck's chief of staff/chief researcher Joseph Kerry. At the end of our conversation I was told about something, and accepted something that has been taking up a lot of my time, but that I love dearly.

I was asked to become a virtual researcher for the Glenn Beck program. While I won't go into details of what all that involves, I will say that it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done, and to see the way the Lord has worked is amazing! I praise God so much for this opportunity, for the new friends He has given me, and just the great joy of serving Him in this capacity.

I am continuing on with this virtual researcher program, and what ever it may bring for my future with Glenn Beck's company, Mercury Radio Arts.

Now, what's going to happen to T4AT? I have talked with the staff, and Victor and Matt are also starting college this year while Taylor is finishing up high school. We have all decided to take a step back, and just post when the time lends itself, but we will no longer be the staff.

Who is going to run T4AT then? Well, the staff and I have talk/prayed about it, and we believe that God has given us Brendan as the new leader of T4AT. Brendan has accepted the offer, and at the end of the summer he will fully take over the management of the site. Kelly will stay on writing as well, but Brendan will also be adding new writers at his discretion.

Finally, I want everyone to know how much I love T4AT. It was truly a milestone in my life, and has taught me so much! I will miss it, but I know I'm leaving it in great hands. I will have my own personal blog that I'm starting with my best friend Erica Jennings. So watch for Alethea's Joy to be coming out soon.

This is not a total good bye, it's a transition, and a good one I think at that. I love you all and thank you so much for your support, as do Victor, Matt, and Taylor.

May the Blessings of Christ stay with you all in our journey

~Karen

Okay, Karen, I am one of those grownup people who has been a member of your group How in the world may I make a contact with you to talk about some 9/12 Project issues that we are addressing here in Houston. We are working directly with Joe Kerry and Yvonne Donnelly. I am VERY excited to hear that you will be making the trip to Isreal! I probably will be working on a 9/12 Rally here in Houston. You may go to our website, We The People Are The 9-12 Association, Inc. www.912membersusa.com My email address on the sight is not working, please contact Thelma Taormina.

Hi Karen, thank you for your testimony. It was good to hear of your convictions and vision. I found this site because I am looking for good, truthful and positive sites for my teen and preteen granddaughter to partcipate in. I am tire of all the garbage about evolution, global warming, and Christians being called nut cases. I am searching for positive feedback for them that tells them that it is the right things to do to be an individual who does not follow the crowd but follows Christ personally. I am also fed up with the politicians telling our school children that they have a duty to become a socialist and redistribute the wealth of our nation with illegal aliens! I think giving and sharing the love of God is fundamental for every person but giving away our country and compromising our principals and faith for the agenda of the liberals is a disgrace and slap in the face of God who blessed us in the first place. America has always been the first to give to other nations on the national level and on the level of individuals. I hope you rise up and stick with God, go forward and make decisions based on the true scriptures not on the pressure of liberals in colleges!! I am going to college right now and I can tell you honestly that every class you have will point to the worship of mother earth and will insinuate that you are mentally off if you believe in God.

God Bless,

Hi!,
Being 47 and living in Va. , I have enjoyed watching your project turn into a full blown blog. I've been a regular lurker with a few comments, but now I want to wish you only the best as you move on. I'll be looking for your new blog. Good luck!

Karen, you may never know just how many people of all ages you have reached with your T4AT site. I always knew God had big plans for you. You are quite a special young lady and you put together a wonderful team of common sense, conservative teen writers. I've enjoyed each and every article, video, review by you and your staff and am confident Brendan will do a most admirable job taking over for you. I will continue to promote this site, and I look forward to upcoming posts by Brendan and his staff. Hope you, Victor, and Matt will post occasional updates on what you all are doing. God bless to all of you. Congratulations on your promotion, Brendan!

Good luck and God bless you, you are so lucky to be working for Glenn!

Quote of the Week

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”
